Leora Slater is the Creative Director of House of Elévara. She directs the visual language of the House — every campaign, every editorial frame, every object that carries the name passes through her eye before it reaches the world. Based in Miami and raised in the hills of West Virginia, she builds from a rare combination: the patience to notice what others overlook, and the precision to execute at a luxury standard.

She has been behind a camera since she was eight years old — documenting ordinary moments because, to her, they were never ordinary. That instinct became a discipline. Today it shapes campaign concepts, art direction, editorial narrative, and the tone of every asset the House produces. She also appears in front of the lens as House talent, a dual credit that lets her carry a concept from idea to frame without translation.

Instinct

Trained by nature before she was trained by fashion. She notices the detail that makes an image feel like something rather than merely look like something.

Intention

Luxury defined by craftsmanship and restraint, not price. Every frame is deliberate — nothing in a House campaign arrives by accident.

Memory

The goal is never content people scroll past. It is work people carry with them long after they have looked away.

In Her Own Words

I didn't grow up surrounded by fashion houses, luxury campaigns, or creative agencies. I grew up in the hills of West Virginia — where mornings began with fog rolling over the mountains, and nature was the first masterpiece I ever studied.

Before I knew the names of luxury brands, I knew how golden light looked through the trees, how silence could tell a story, and how beauty lived in the smallest details.

I've always believed that everything is art. The way we as humans live is art — and art needs to be captured. The way sunlight hits a window. The sound of rain on a tin roof. A cup of coffee that is the perfect shade. A weathered pair of cowboy boots. A handwritten note. A luxury hotel lobby. A woman walking through a city at midnight. An empty yacht in a marina. Every color, texture, emotion, and movement has the power to become a story.

Since I was eight years old, I've been obsessed with cameras. I filmed everything. I documented ordinary moments because, to me, they were never ordinary. I didn't realize I was teaching myself visual storytelling — I was simply chasing the feeling that came from creating something beautiful. That feeling has never left.

My mind is constantly overflowing with ideas. Entire campaigns play out in my head. Films begin with a single image. A song becomes a color palette. A conversation becomes a concept. I don't just see the world as it is — I instinctively imagine how it could be transformed, every single second.

Fashion has always fascinated me because it speaks before a single word is said. Film captures emotion that language sometimes can't. Photography freezes a feeling that would otherwise disappear forever. Creative direction is where all of those worlds collide.

Growing up in the country taught me to notice what others overlook. Luxury taught me that excellence lives in precision. Those two worlds aren't opposites — they're the foundation of how I see everything I create. Authenticity and refinement can exist in the same frame.

I don't want to create content that people scroll past. I want to create worlds people remember. I want every frame to feel intentional, every campaign to feel cinematic, and every detail to have meaning — because details are never just details. They are the difference between something people see and something they feel.

To me, luxury isn't defined by a price tag. It's defined by intention. It's craftsmanship. It's restraint. It's confidence. It's creating something so timeless that it still evokes emotion years later.

Being a creative director isn't simply the career I want — it's the language I've been speaking my entire life. My purpose is to turn ideas into experiences, moments into stories, and stories into art that people carry with them long after they've looked away. Life is art, so let's capture it all.
